Hello and welcome to our first 2012 newsletter where we would like to take the opportunity to keep you up to date with the latest happenings at the Cotswold Walking Company. Following the very successful 2011 we are now looking forward to 2012 and here is the latest news:

STAFF  ANNOUNCEMENT                                                                                                   

Alongside Jennifer, who is our Accounts Manager, we now have Robert as well, who is helping us with our IT support and Marta, who joined our team as an Office Manager. Marta joined the Cotswold Walking Company in June 2010 and has been helping out with customers’ enquiries, administration and day to day running of the office in a friendly and professional manner.

Marta’s Background: Marta comes from former Czechoslovakia, current Slovakia and has been living in England some 15 years now. She studied British and American Literature at the University of Matei Bell in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. She is fluent in Slovakian, Czech, English and a bit rusty in Russian, can understand Polish. We are planning on putting her language skills to test once we start organising walking holidays in Eastern Europe! What a thought!

ACCOMMODATION  PROVIDERS FOR 2012

Ashley and Marta have put lots of effort into finding the most suitable & comfortable accommodation for our guests. And, unlike some other companies offering walking holidays in the area, we use accommodation based on our experience, not on the cheapest prices. This year we have been approached by several new exciting accommodation providers which will be a great contribution to our 2012 offering.

2012 PRICING

With the view of the current financial climate, Cotswold Walking Company is proud to announce that there will not be an increase in prices in 2012, despite of the fact that some of our accommodation providers will be increasing theirs.

With our new members of staff and new accommodation providers we hope to be able to improve our services to you even further.

COTSWOLDS FINEST...

We have now completed a 54 mile circular itinerary of the North Cotswolds area providing an appealing alternative to the ever popular Cotswold Way. Cotswold Finest.. takes you through the very prettiest scenery and charming towns and villages in the area. GUIDED WALKING

Due to considerable demand, we decided this year to organise some guided tours. Numbers will be limited to a maximum of 12 to ensure a high level of personal service for our guests and arranged on a first come, first served basis. We will be running two options:

1.       The North Cotswolds which is a tour based on the Cotswold Way.  It consists of 5 days walking/ 6 nights accommodation averaging 8 miles a day, starting in Chipping Campden and ending in Birdlip. Prices are £625 per person with available dates below:

        22^nd May - 26^th May 2012              7^th Aug - 12^th Aug 2012             11^th Sept - 15^th Sept 2012

2.       Cotswold Finest.. which is a circular walk (see details above).  It consists of 6 walking days/7 nights accommodation, averaging 9 miles a day. Prices are £730 per person with available dates below:

 14^th May - 19^th May 2012          18^th June - 23^rd June 2012          3^rd Sept - 8^th Sept 2012
