A subject close to our hearts is Real Ale!
These days it is becoming harder and harder to get a good independent real Ale as Inns are frequently tied to their landlord companies and large breweries. Thankfully we are still blessed in the Cotswolds with both great small local brewers and some wonderful traditional Inns that serve them.
Here are a couple of local breweries based in The Cotswolds:
www.donnington-brewery.com/ these guys have a selection of Inns throughout the Cotswolds and produce Beer called ‘BB’ ‘SBA’ and ‘Donnington Gold’
http://www.goffsbrewery.com/ producing the very popular ‘Jouster’ as well as ‘White Knight’ and ‘Tournament’ beers.
And here are links to some great Cotswold Inns with a fine traditional of providing beer for thirsty locals and visitors alike, pubs where you can still enjoy great real ale and a traditional Cotswold welcome:

www.themountinn.co.uk/ situated at the top of the small village of Stanton between Broadway and Winchcombe, close to The Cotswold Way route.
www.plaisterersarms.co.uk/ in the centre of Winchcombe
www.theoldcrownuley.co.uk/ half a mile from the Cotswold Way route in the village of Uley.
http://www.blackhorse-northnibley.co.uk/realales.php situated on the Cotswold Way route in the village of North Nibley.
Our favourite? Well that has to be The Plaisterers Arms in Winchcombe, we have not found a better pint of Real Ale yet!
